Williams plans three-pronged upgrade as focus shifts to 2025
Williams will tackle three key areas of its 2024 car Formula 1 after the break, while its design focus shifts to next year

Williams will improve its aerodynamics and suspension design while also trimming further weight off the car, which has been the team's Achilles heel during the first half of the campaign.

"We have updates coming up this summer break - I hope in Zandvoort and I hope again in Baku or the race after Baku which is Singapore," Vowles said in Spa.

Previously, in this thread, George Russell was preferred over Albon as he had girly eye lashes and was an advantage from a marketing perspective.

Could we then conclude that Sainz's winner treat is his thick and enviable hair, or his Indian-looking facial features?

Already casting an eye to their 2025 challenger, Williams boss James Vowles confirmed their intention to spend next year exclusively focusing on the F1 2026 car for the new regulations.

Williams reportedly considering replacing Sargeant for Italian GP

Grove-based team is now considering replacing Sargeant ahead of next week’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

While no decision has been made, Mercedes reserve and former Haas driver Mick Schumacher has been tipped as a potential replacement, a solution that would likely please Vowles' former boss at the Brackely squad, Toto Wolff, who has always been supportive of Schumacher's efforts.

Mick lost his seat due to too many crashes.

Sargeant might lose his seat due to too many crashes.

Therefore: Replace Sargeant with Mick. Makes perfect sense.....

Neither need to be near an F1 car. There have to be other options but no confirmation Logan is out for that race.

Who are the candidates to replace Logan Sargeant?
There were two serious options to replacing Sargeant. Andrea Kimi Antonelli was Williams' dream candidate, but Mercedes does not want their junior to enter Formula 1 early. Antonelli will, however, drive a first free practice for Mercedes at Monza and is also likely to be announced as a Mercedes driver for 2025 that weekend.

Mercedes has put forward Mick Schumacher as an alternative to Williams. Schumacher is Mercedes' reserve driver, but his chances of getting the seat are slimmer than Lawson's. Schumacher lost the shootout for the Alpine seat to Jack Doohan and has also been overtaken by Antonelli at Mercedes. Not exactly good results for a letter of recommendation.

Lawson is in a better position in that respect. Lawson did very well when filling in for Daniel Ricciardo and showed he can handle pressure well. Red Bull is open to letting Lawson go: "It would depend on which terms and if we needed him back, that we could have him back quite quickly. But we'd certainly, if they needed to drive the next weekend, be open to that," Christian Hornerrevealed in response to a question from GPblog at Zandvoort.

The problem was solved with 400 grit sand paper. That means the problem was like the thickness of the paint on the floor so they sanded it off. But the rules are the rules. These teams are right against every limit to eek out all performance. Nothing is left on the table.

Probably won't place any better than Logan, but will cost less in pay and repairs (assuming he drives conservatively).
