    I'm a huge fan or Willie O'ree. Not because he was the first black player in the NHL and put up with a lot of crap. Not because he was a disabled player to played Hockey while being blind in one eye (I'm not sure how you even do that). Not just because he kept playing in the minor leagues until the age of 43 (I actually saw him play in the Western Conference League as a teenager in Phoenix) -- but because of his quiet, uplifting message to children and adults for years and years after he retired from playing.

    Congrats Willie! Well deserved.
