Wind Deflector 360 Spider

Here is my attempt to replace the fabric and gasket on my spider- I wanted something close to OEM look- I could not find the right material but I still think it turned out OK Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

 

Looks good. I used some pool screen and twine that I had around, it looks pretty good too.

 

Its a lot more see thru than the original, and using a gasket instead of the caulking looks a lot better

I think I found not only the rubber part but also the mesh fabric that is extremely close to the OEM fabric.

Must admit @Mja did a much better job than me at cutting the rubber neatly... impressed.

 

Great job on the roll hoop mesh. I think I will do the same. I long ago replaced the center wind stop with a 430 clear one. Although sometimes I get reflections, mostly it provides better visibility. Direct replacement for the mesh one.

I used screen door spline 5mm to hold in the mesh and used the rubber as a capping only- held down with glue
