I've had two Californias now ... a 2013 and a 2015. The wind deflectors are identical between both models. On both cars, eventually the two retractable pins have broken off ... they appear to have been originally glued at the factory so they break fairly cleanly off with a small nub that slots into the "cap" that breaks off.

On the last car I just used some super glue on it and it held -- at least for a while. I've reglued these, too, and reinforced around it with a little gaff tape which may or may not help stabilize it. But also found a German company that makes their own "Airax" wind deflectors for all kinds of different cars, including Ferraris. Looks to be a slightly simpler design, with the benefit of being able to just fold the top portion back with it installed, something I can't do with the factory deflector -- in fact, it's hard to even figure out how to fold the factory one when you're not using it.

Curious if anyone has tried one? They are reasonably priced, aside from the shipping to the US which adds a bit.

I've never taken it out of the storage case. When I drive with the top down I prefer the wind to be undeflected ;)

It makes a significant difference at 60+ mph ... especially on a cool night. It's always in the car until it gets toward winter here. But surprised to have two of them fail the same way, but then again, maybe not such a surprise. Why not mold that pin as a single piece instead of gluing a 1.5-inch extension on it that fits in the hole? You can see the joint where it fails on the left. Two deflectors, three out of the four pins snapped off just taking them out of the car.

Apparently there are at least a couple of companies that make aftermarket ones that fit -- and use a metal pin to hold it in there. Ironically, the other one is named Aperta.

I have my OEM reflector still in my garage from my 13 Cali in it’s case. Sold the car a couple years ago and been meaning to list it.
    PM me if interested
