Hi Guys. Can anyone tell me how to get the window motors out and if i can take them out without touching the window cables? I'm trying to fix my windows. They will go down but only come up a few centimeters and stick. I've checked the power going to the windows which is fine and sprayed some silicone spray in and around the workings of the window and now hope that taking the motors out will solve the problems for me if i can get them cleaned up and operational. There is a scary amount of things in there and i'd like to keep it simple but is there an easy way get them out and in again. Hope some handy member can keep me right. Thanks in advance

This is what you need to do and WHY you need to do it, there are no short cuts if you want your windows to run fast and do it for as long as you own your car.
I just did mine, not fun but worth it. I'll never have to touch them again unless there is a major failure of the mechanism.

If I can do it, anybody can. You just have to pay attention to details and read the thread carefully. Basic tools and an open ended schedule is needed.
