    Ok I need some help. Closed the drivers door on my 87 328 and the side window drops. Having lots of trouble finding a bracket that holds the bottom of the window. In the diagrams below are for 88 and up cars it is part 32. I know.....really hard to read but its the bracket at the top of the lift on the other diagram. It is differentiated by vin number. My car is 712XX which is lower than the left diagram part. The other diagram is for 85 and up cars and doesnt have a part no next to the bottom bracket on part 77.


    Anyone have the part? Any suggestions on who might? Thanks. Andy

    I would try Ferr Parts in Sacramento or T Rutlands in Georgia.

    Is your part broken, gone missing, or fallen to the bottom of the door?

    I am not finding the part number in the diagram but with the odd bits IMO you are better off taking the broken part or a good one to a metal bender and getting it made.

    There's no "Giant Bin of leftover parts" for our cars, if Classic Parts UK in England can't help you, you will have to carve one out of a tree limb.
    Seriously...

    FerrParts is a good suggestion.

    Tried FerrParts....they showed it in stock but no joy. My original part just rusted away. Part no is 61909800 and have tried

    Any other ideas?

    Can you come up with a pattern I have a fabrication shop working on my car, making a muffler shroud....

    Is the difference between the new and old part numbers really material to your application? Perhaps looking for the new part number will give you joy.

    Also can the 328 window lift be fitted to the 308?!? I never realized they simplified the window lift on the 328 and it has to better than the cable and pulley contraption in the 308 doors!

    I’m not sure about the first part of your question. I know they have different part numbers by vin. I found one and am hoping it works.
    No idea about thee adaptability to a 308.
