Resurrecting an old thread, but need to have the windows tinted on my BMW. Is this still the place to go in town? I've been reading up on tint and it seems that FormulaOne Pinnacle is the recommended tint for AZ due to its superior heat rejection, only it seems that most dealers do not carry it.

I've had very good experiences with Lenny over at Tint Wizard in the Scottsdale Airpark. He does a lot of high end work and he's fair and honest. Workmanship is excellent.

Lenny is the best in the airpark. He worked for me in the eighties for a minute. Then he got smart and started his own place.

West of the airpark, go to Tim at Autotint.

I've been told the following are the best at keeping the heat out, although some may not give the dark look that many seek when tinting their vehicles. Many shops have these on display and it is amazing at the amount of heat reduction.

    Huper Optik Drei
    Formula One Pinnacle
    3M Crystalline

I had Huper Optik on my '03 M3. It was the new tint in the market back then. It was okay, but I felt it had a little too much of a metallic look.

3M Crystaline is the way to go in my opinion. If not mistaken, Protective Film solutions has a display with a halogen bulb for you to actually feel the heat rejection that each type of tint has. Aside from the tint itself, they have a clean environment to reduce any foreign material/dust that makes it way between the tint and windows.
