I just purchased the triangular rubber stationary vent window trim for my 308. This is a one piece rubber gasket shaped for the vent glass. This is not what my car has now, but I'm not sure what it is supposed to have. Regardless, mine is worn out and needs replacement.

I also purchased the driven window "hairy" seal ( inside and out) for both motorized windows. This is the trim that goes between the glass and the actual door hard rubber trim. I purched them both on the Web from the Lyle Tanner company at 916-638-0444

Has anyone replaced either and is it straight forward ; does the window frame or door panel need to be disassembled? How is the hairy trim held in place?

Any first hand advice makes this that much easier to get this job done

    Thanks

The hairy window trim is held on by rivets. There are about a half dozen on the interior door panel and similarly on the door frame. You will need to remove the window glass in the door panel in order to complete the job. Make sure you mark the location of the two nuts and washers that crimp the lift cable before you remove them.
