It updates, or tries to, every time I use my laptop. Ugh.

 

yup. I am pissed.

 

Not used it yet, not heard many great things either.

Will avoid for the time being.

 

I've got a 4 year old i7 10 machine and a new i9 11 machine. The older machine is faster.

In 11 a lot of delays doing simple things like creating folders and a lot of misfires opening folders and copying / renaming files. Longer wait times to open Excel and Word also. Notepad crummy graphics on edits.

 

I like it a lot. Breaks Equalizer APO for now though, and that's a deal breaker for me. It's great on my laptop.

 

That could be driven by alot of different things unrelated to Windows version. Disk speed, memory, configuration, background software, memory, CPU specifics...

 

Really? I just assume the hardware on the new machine is faster and more robust. And I am not aware of any software running on the 11 machine more than on the 10 machine.

 

If you update from 10 to 11 you only have 10 days to go back to 10 if you don’t like it.

After the ten days you’ll need a recovery disk saved prior to a usb or cd disk.
