    Does anyone know of a calendar program that would pop up little messages each day telling me I have stuff scheduled, etc.. Maybe win xp already does this and I just don’t know about it?

    The Palm Desktop is a pretty slick piece of software, and you don't have to have a Palm to use the desktop scheduling software. It's been a while since I used it, but I think it will do what you're looking for.
