    Hi all.

Can someone advise the correct positioning of the 'hex' on the washer jet (for an Euro August 71 E series). IE should they be positioned on the inside / outside etc...

I have an image of the jets before taking them off but would like to be sure they were correct before I put them back like they were.

Many thanks as always for any feedback.

    Paul.

Image of the washer jet added to clarify my question. The jet can be rotated but does the hex face to right or left side of car on the 71 Euro..?

Perhaps somebody has an image of these with center park wipers?

The jet in your photo would be in the correct position for the passenger side of a LHD car. The drivers side jet would be 180 degrees opposite to this one so the round screw heads essentially face one another.

On the clap hands wiper system the jets (hex) face outwards on both sides so that each jet is facing it's respective wiper arm. Here is a photo from the owners manual showing the jet on the passenger side of a left hand drive car.

Iain I certainly cannot argue your documentation and respectfully adjust my advice to mirror yours. Screws should face outwards.

I went back to my original M-series sales brochure and using a magnifier I have to agree with Isuk that it appears the hex jet sides should face out, not in. So I'll need to swap mine this weekend.
