Anyone had issues with the windscreen wiper park position when using intermittent wipe?

Periodically the park position stops being at the base of the screen and ends up part way through the wipe range.

Is this a fault within the motor assembly or is there a control module somewhere, any known fixes?

I can’t say park following normal wipe is always perfect either.

Check the nut that secures the linkage to the wiper motor - mine had worked loose and gave the symptoms you describe above.

NB RHD car shown so linkage will be on other side in US

The wiper motor has a switch inside that holds 12v to the low speed setting of the motor after the controller turns power off once the the arms reach “park” then the switch will open

If the wipers are going pass their range meaning hitting the a pillar or cowl then I would check wiper transmission arms

Thanks for the tip. The range of motion is normal, no contact with anything. The only issue is where they ark. Not yet stripped it down to check the motor shaft bolt.
