I'm going to produce some videos on my Challenge Cars and racing. The production house thinks the window is too scratched and pitted to support some of the hi-res in-car video shoots and Ive purchased another new windshield from my dealer Risi. I'm trying to figure out, in the issue of time, if I can do this in my garage trackside or do I need to trailer it to the dealer. Its obviously held on a by a set of exposed allen bolts and appears to have a gasket underneath. Anyone done this personally and know if its simple or involved? Also, the Challenge teams run with a peel off clear screen saver over their windshields, if this car had one I wouldn't have had to buy a window. Anyone know where you get those?

Changing the windscreen is easy. I'd definitely consider also getting a new gasket and use the right sealant; you will not be happy if you hear a wind whistle at high speeds and/or subject yourself to a 100mph stream of water if it leaks when you're in the rain

definitely get the tear-offs. It's CRITICAL to get a proper install, particularly if you get a multi-layer (which you should), as the bubbles and distortion can be annoying. I don't know anyone local to your area, but I would be surprised if Risi or Boardwalk (call Nathan or SteveF) could not refer you to the folks that do their cars.

Thanks for your response. I should have said, Risi isn't being unhelpful, they lost a 488C at LeMans last week and everyones not back at their desk in Houston yet - and Im in a hurry. I just called parts dept and they don't show a gasket for the window, believing theres a squeeze on gasket seal thats likely scraped off with removal and reapplied with new one. Got the name of the window installer and Im going to have him come by and do it - don't want to risk screwing up a $4200 window! Also on the window peel off stickers...was referred to Pro-Tint Window Film & Tinting | Residential, Commercial & Industrial which has online sticker peels for the 360/430 and oddly the F40. Im about to ring them and see if the 430 is usable with some trimming.

Cole Motorsports is another place I've heard mentioned.
