Has anyone tried this new window treatment offered by a company called Diamon-Fusion? I saw a write-up about it in the AAA magazine and they speak pretty highly of it. Here's a link to the article: http://www.aaaworld.com/pages/articles.asp?id=369 if you haven't seen it. The website is pretty cool and it is available in NJ.

If anyone has tried it, please let me know what you think as I'm interested in learning more about it. It supposedly increases the strength of the windshield by 10X the original in addition to increasing brightness and clarity while reducing glare and virtually eliminating the need for wipers. Can all of that be true? If the increase in strength really works, it will ensure that we can keep the origiinal windshield in our ride rather than having a cheap imitation installed if we get a crack or chip.

Any posts with feedback will be appreciated.

What about the increase in strength? If it truly resists cracks and chips it would be worth it since we all know what a windshield costs. Even with insurance (and who wants higher rates) the deductible is $100 - $250 and we all know that replacement windows are crap. Plus when we're cruising at 100+MPH, they say the improvement in clarity decreases reaction time by 25% (according to AAA). Their website says it has been independently tested. Anyway who drives their Ferrari in the rain? And, how well do wipers work in a driving rain anyway?

According to AAA this Diamon-Fusion process is permanent (their website says that as well).

Has anyone out there tried it? I understand that Ferrari/Maserati of Central Jersey is offering it at their dealership.

Umm... If you wanted a performance windshield, you'd get one made out of Lexan, shove it up your a$$ and stop spamming our forum.

Why go Lexan if you can add this to your orinal windshield for $400? I was just wondering if anyone heard of it or used it to see if it truly worked.

Head on over to VW Vortex, Scion Life or BeyondtheQuarter.com. Those guys are far more likely to a:

    - Read something published by AAA
    - Try something moronic like this
    - Not be fooled by Magic Rats

I was just looking for some helpful answers. I was told this forum might be a good place to find out since it's a classy automobile and someone here might have tried it ...

Yeah, my posts (all 3) were about the same thing -- but that's what the thread was about and no one gave me any helpful answers.

I apologize for "invading" your forum, but if it bothers you don't click on the link!
