    IF MY HEADLIGHTS ARE ACTIVATED ON MY 1985 TR,AND I TURN ON MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS.THE LIGHTS POP UP AND DOWN.FOR NO APPARENT REASON CONSTANTLY.ANY SUGGESTIONS

    Bad earth on the steering column, I bet as the wipers sweep accross your windscreen the heads light bob up and down in sequence ;)

    Has anyone done any electrical work to your car recently?

    I would remove the trim around your steering column and feel around for any loose wires/wire looms that appear to bolt to the column and surrounds and also to the headlights and wiper switch.

    See what path that takes you, Its obvious that your problem has just started so i'd imagine that it couldn't be to technical or difficult to find.
