The rain is suppose to hold off until late at night.
So who else is in? I'll be heading over 4:30-5:00 from NJ. Anybody want to hook up?

I'm thinking we buzz Times Square afterwards. It's been a looooooong time.

 

I will be happy to hook up, but I am coming from E.63st/Park ave. If you have nothing to do and no one else is coming with you from NJ, then I will deaply appriciate the hook up. (I am still learning English). No rain, but hot
Comes to my mind: I do not remember the last time I've been to Times Square.

 

for anyone coming from NJ let me know. I will def be willing to meet up. I am leaving NJ around 530ish and picking up Jawad at 6. If anyone needs a ride or anything let me know. More than willing to help out.

 

Clyde, Ludmilla, David -- just to clarify, are people bringing their F-Cars to this (i.e. is there dedicated parking out front or something?) I just wasn't sure if a mini-meet had been intended. As of now, I'm riding with Shivam w/out the Fcar, but if there's something like that, maybe I'll bring it... Would be fun to buzz Times Square later... (Though not sure how wise it is, after a wine tasting )

 

I'm stopping at Steve/Arena at 4:30ish and will leave from there about 5 or so. I want to say hello to Jawad's 308. Let it know we haven't forgotten about it. Yes, 5:00 is early but NJ to NY at the GWB at that time is awful.

My understanding is there is no Ferrari parking, but the street parking is ok at 6. And I will be bringing my 308.

 

Ah Clyde! So nice of you to think of my 308 -- The Black Beauty always loves to see your lovely red 308. But I'm happy to say my 308 is with me now in the city! Although the problem isn't entirely solved, the car is running a good bit cooler now thanks to Steve's hard work and ingenuity.

Look forward to seeing you tonight. Maybe I'll bring the Ferrari out somehow (especially if both our 308s can get a spot out front on the street together...)

 

I am not bringing Marcello because he is with his favorite mechanic beeing preped for track. On the other hand: if you guys are bringing your girls, and coming anywere near East 63st/Park Ave, and have one free sit then I would like a ride. I just read a privious sentance and realised that there are too many iffs. I guess the taxi will do.

 

Ludmilla, I can def come by and pick you up. I am picking up jawad uptown and we can swing by your place on the way downtown.

Good to see Shivam, Jawad, JC, Ludmilla, Matt, Noah, Linda, Ungie & all the new folks I met (non-Ferrari type folk ) and of course our guest, Dave. Ever see someone toodle up on a Vespa (number 53 of course) in a business suit in Manhattan?

I'm looking foward to hearing more "adventures of Ludmilla" when she returns from Brazil. Wonderful stories tonight!

Mad props to JC for bringing out the Stradale. I just sounds so incredible. He's no rain p$#@y.

did you get home ok Clyde? It was POURING as soon as I got out of the tunnel. I hit about 80 on route 3 but then my traction control light was solid so I thought it was take it back a little bit. It def put my in the club and I def took some pictures with my phone.

Traction control? Traction control? We don't need no stinkin' traction control! Besided, '83 Ferrari no-a-got.

Yep, mad rain & lightning all the way home. Thankfully, SUVs & trucks stayed out of the left lane and I did fine out Rt. 80 at about 60mph. No hydroplaning at all.

I did see lots of police & wreckers out there with one compact car in particular was 1/4 burried nose first into the mud on rt23 near the Dodge dealer in Wayne. God knows how they managed to skid off the road (no curves there) and embed their car that way.

 

yeah the RS was rock solid, but the POS cars around me werent. If it were a track, i totally would have destroyed the road. Rain driving rules!
