Ok, I'll play the game. I'm guessing that you have to join the Royal Air Force? (grin)

The badge you have pictured is a USAF non-rated officer badge, meaning you wouldn't get into the cockpit with those.

I have met a few of those guys but have never figured out what they actually do?

ABCCC, ACCS, E-3, E-4, Compass Call, Commando Solo, OC-135, WC-135, AF1, RJ, E-8, EC-135, engineers who go through test pilot school, aquisitions officers who do flight testing, any officer assigned as aircrew, but not pilot, nav or flight doc.

...though E-3 guys now have ABM wings.

Go to your local Army/Navy surplus store. You can probably find one there.

I didn't mean exactly this badge. So I guess you can just buy these? Oh well.

    Ok no problem...
I didn't exactly mean these auctions on eBay..... ;-)

Yes, buy them. It's less costly than absconding with them, should you get found out...

To earn them takes many many months of training...testing,
flying... testing, and oh yes, written testing...
where you must acheive better than 70%.
