    I was lucky enough to crew or the factory Lotus team which Paul was a driver. Joanne Woodward would come to some of the events but not all. one of the crew guys Joe Grassi would drive her around the track in the golf kart so she could see various areas of the track like Lime Rock, Nazareth , etc.she was a neat lady. Paul was a nice guy too when not hounded by the press but he was a nice gentlemen and a damn good driver. he did crash one of the Esprit's at Portland and the chassis was almost destroyed.. he just said " sorry guys".. and walked away.

    I was lucky to drive his Lotus Esprit race car at the Mitty a few years ago...

    168 mph down the back stretch...

    I found out about this show this morning while channel surfing, can't wait. Gonna watch the rerun on Saturday because the first airing interferes with Blue Bloods on Friday (gotta get my cop fix). I still remember watching him race the rubber off those cars back in the late 1970's into the 1980's and his class win at the 1995 24HR's of Daytona.
