    Hi every one

This week we have got the first snow in Switzerland and with salt on the rod so unfortunately my 456 has to go for winter conservation. I have washed the car care fully, let it dry and put the cove on, disconnected the battery and have pumped up the tires up. Any other actions should take? Please note that my garage is not heated. (CO2 friendly I suppose) Great full for your advice.

You might do a search on 'winter storage' - this has been discussed before.

Some general recommendations: Add fuel stabiliser to the tank; use tire cradles to prevent flat spots on the tires; use a battery tender to keep the battery from discharging.

Bait or set traps for rodents who will be very happy to take up residence in your car. If you can put the car up onto jack stands your tires will be happy in the spring.
Clean and treat the leather. Turn off the battery.

If rodents are a real worry I recommend dryer sheets in the engine bay where you wont forget to take them out. Mothballs can also be used but the dryer sheets are supposed to have the same effect without the harsh smell. Also block the intake and exhaust as these make good homes. May also want to put some Vinylex or similar on rubber parts such as door seals, hoses and tires so that it can absorb through the winter.
