Yellow Gallardo with tinted windows Friday morning...in the snow. Gotta love the all-wheel drive cars this time of year.
On 22nd street in Oak Brook.

 

saw a red/tan 355 spider with it's top down parked on orange avenue across from the hotel del on cornado island. next to it was a new aston martin vantage. BTW it's 68 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze off the pacific ocean.

wife and i are visiting southern california.

Orange Gallardo, today in Lake Barrington. Black Gransport in Mount Prospect about 30 minutes later.

 

A Rosso 355 heading south on 294 near 90 at 6:10ish with FVM plates..anyones?

I can't believe this weather either. Crazy huh? I saw a yellow 360 on York Rd by Ogden Ave today.

 

Saw Tony (?) in his red/gold 360 - top was up though. Near Rush and Delaware.

On Saturday (mid 50's), you should see him with top down, shirt off and stereo blasting!

 

I see this guys name pop up on spotters threads every so often, who is this guy? I feel like I'm missing an inside joke..

 

It's not a joke.

He's Tony Taglia; Toe-Kneeee Tag!

A real character, but a likeable guy.

He has a 'limited edition' Cadillac, and the tag is "Tony Tag"; that's where it comes from.

He has my friend Ed, service his cars. That's how it all started.

 

Here's how it all started. Tony walks in one day with his tricked out, red Caddy Eldo with gold plated EVERYTHING, and says he wants a Ferrari. I show him a few and he falls in love with a 360 spider. He tells me to call him when we get a red automatic. I tell him F1 is as close as he is going to get with the 360. A red/dark tan F1 comes in the next week, I call Tony T, and he comes in and buys it.

"Can you put some chrome wheels on it?" he asks.

"If you really want them, we can put some on." I say.

The following week we put the wheels on and they don't look to bad.

"Cool", he says, "Can you guys gold plate the wheels and exhaust tips and put a rear wing on it, then my guy can pinstripe it?"

"Excuse me?" I say.

"I want it dressed up like the Caddy." he replies.

We put a rear wing on it, and let him take care of the rest. When I saw him at Oak St., there it was in all its glory. Dressed up just like the Caddy, and a smile ear to ear on Tony T. Not everybody's cup of tea, but he loves it. I know A LOT of Ferrari owners, and I would say none of them enjoy their Ferraris as much as Tony enjoys his. As darolls said, he is a likable enough guy and quite a character, and will take the time to talk to anybody about his Ferrari...just ask anyone on Rush St on a warm summer night.

 

Now he has a lot of the engine painted gold too!

Also found some emblems that say 'Gold Edition', and has those on the car.

Tony really has a love affair with his 360.

 

Red 328 GTS on East on I-55, then again North on I-294, and again West on I-88. Oh yea, it was me.

Nothing like near 50 in Chicago on December 16 to get the car out from under the cover.
