Don't start it once it's stored, use an inexpensive trickle charger from Canadian Tire and you're all set.

Sometimes I forget to overinflate the tires and add fuel stabilizer and can't tell the difference anymore LOL

Thank you for the info! Do you fill the tank to the top? I was told never to do that, what's your take? I'm storing at about 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, does that affect anything?

I don’t fill it, I store it with whatever is in it. Not sure if I’m making a mistake by doing so but again never noticed a difference.

Whatever you do, always make sure you use the Shell V-Power 91. I have researched this and found out it is the only ethanol-free fuel in Canada. A lot of Ferrari owners choose Petro-Canada 94 but that is a mistake on the older cars from the 90s because ethanol eats away all the rubber parts and they begin floating around in the tank and cause a future issue.

You really think the cops are going to pull you over to check what tires you've got? C'mon. And you act like if you did get popped you're facing a jail sentence. I'm sure that's not the case.

Also, many of you are great disappointments to me. There is so much overthinking and neurotic nonsense in this thread. The recommendations in the first post are just fine. I personally wouldn't start the car up during storage, because what's the point, but doing so won't cause great damage either.

I agree when we are “new” owners we become neurotic and over-obsessive but that dwindles down with time...

As for the rest, you obviously haven’t lived in Quebec... they won’t throw you in jail but the fines are hefty and you can be damn sure that the FIRST thing a cop would do if he sees a Ferrari driving in the wintertime is making sure there is a snowflake on the tire. And actually now the law has changed and it’s as of December 1st and they waste no time, they litterally park next to shops and if you’re heading in on the first of december to get your winter tires put on they fine you because the law has already been in effect 24 hours (regardless of the fact that it may be warm outside and that not a millimetre of snow has yet to fall)

I can second that, it's all true.
