Quick question I have no power outlet in the garage that the car is parked in ;( So would you recommend to disconnect the battery? Or take the car out once ever 2 weeks for a looong drive??
Or a long extension cable! Note that removing battery power requires a specific power up sequence to make sure everything works correctly (including window retraction)... SV
IF i had to choose. I would choose discounting the battery. I believe the manual shows you how and one of the terminals is a quick discount so i assume it was designed to do so.
I'm not sure if this would work, but could you go out every 2-3 weeks with a portable jump starter, hook it up to the battery for an hour or so and have it juice up the battery? I've had good success with these for emergency situations: Amazon.com: Jackco ZT50420 Pocket Jump Starter Deluxe Kit: Automotive Another thought is to investigate the cost of having an outlet installed.
Ferraris really require being trickle charged. I would suggest investing in an outlet for the car. All too often, I have seen electrical gremlins rear their heads with full battery discharge and then full charge and back. I would cost a couple hundred to get an electrician to run a 120v line. But, well worth it, considering your investment. C458
Mine is plugged in, but unheated garage. If I leave it for more than a month in winter, I'm low on juice and it barely starts. This doesn't happen in Spring/Summer/Fall.
thx for the replies garage is heated... so perhaps, a fully charged battery might last for 2 months... guess I will have to wait and see.
