Not too long ago, we were complaining about Ferrari "winning too much". Things do change quickly.

I can imagine Vettel not winning anymore and I have no qualms with it.

    I think that's super unlikely.

I'm sure he has a performance clause in his contract ie if RB isn't delivering a winning car he can jump ship w/o penalty. I'm sure he will just jump to a winning car/team and as much as I dislike Vettel, that team would be stupid not to take a proven multi-WDC on as one of their drivers.

I think it's more likely RB will never win a WDC+WCC again than it is for Vettel to never win again.

Agree. Vettel has options to jump to a great team. 4 titles helps with that.

Apologies if this has already been posted: Computer Virus Stalls an F1 Team's Car Testing | Autopia | Wired.com

Technology can be wonderful, but sometimes — like when your Mom finds your Twitter feed — it just creates new problems that were previously unthinkable. The latest case in point: On the first day of the second Formula One preseason test, the Marussia team saw its 2014 car complete only three laps around the track because some witless oaf in the team garage downloaded a “Trojan-type virus” onto its computer system. Whoops.

Considering how complex some of these “Trojan-type virus'” can be, and how cleverly they can be hidden away, I'd say it's slightly too simplistic to to accuse someone of being "some witless oaf" for downloading it, as if they simply didn't spot a whole computer screen warning: "DANGER!!!!........DANGER!!!!! - TROJAN VIRUS AHEAD!!!! - DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!"

The clue is in the name: Trojan virus

They are designed to piggyback onto legitimate software/downloads and get in unnoticed!
(It wouldn't be much of a Trojan virus if they were that easy to spot, would they?)

Thing is, the person(s) that gets to play with the laptop (I seriously doubt it's for any team member to check their facebook at will :p) surely must have decent computer knowledge. You normally get these viruses (virii? ****ed if I know) by going on sites that are not quite 100%. It's common sense really. Spend enough time on a computer and you know exactly where not to go, especially what not to click on and download.

Unless it was a directly targetted virus (don't think so, what info does Marussia have that the rest of the teams want? And getting found out is suicide for the other team), I'd say their computer person is really bad at surfing for porn.

    ---

When I was younger I used to get virus quite often, because I didn't know what I was doing. From experience I learned the how what's and wheres (and there's no reason why anyone in an F1 team with computer access should NOT know this). My younger brother is not as quick a learner with computers and still gets them all the time, hence why his HDD's have all failed (which they haven't, just a case of bootmgr missing but he's too lazy to have fixed the problems in the last 6 months by consulting the internet on the iPad). I don't let anyone play on my computer for the same reason...people are ****ing stupid at times and click on anything, hackers know this and put their trojans specifically on stuff like this. To me it couldn't be more obvious if it said ''TROJAN AHEAD''. Know the signs and it's exactly that.

For the sneaky ones, fantastic software exists these days. Keep your stuff up to date, maintain your computer and don't go into the internets equivalent of a whorehouse in a dodgy alley, or ''You're gonna have a bad time''.

Bad day for the Bulls - 12:54 EDD STRAW: The fact that Red Bull is still suffering cooling problems is a huge concern for the reigning world champion team.

"Clearly, Renault is still struggling with its engine, with its four teams having completed 134 laps so far today. By contrast, both McLaren and Williams have logged close to 100 already.

"If the cooling problems are unique to Red Bull and caused by its packaging of the engine, this is a real concern. Until it finds a cooling configuration that allows the engine to work to its current potential, progress will inevitably be slow.

"Sister squad Toro Rosso has managed 56 laps today with its Renault-engined machine, so at least Red Bull will have some extra clues from its junior team.

"Red Bull will get there, it's too good a team not to. The question is, how long will it take? The Australian GP is looming very large."
