Can i get the group's advice on removing the windshield wiper motor from a 348. My real task is to change the clutch master cylinder, but it is under the wiper motor so I'm trying to get the motor out of the way.

I successfully loosened the three bolts holding the motor to the bracket and I was able to remove the nut from the shaft (see photo), but then the linkage will not come loose from the shaft. I was expecting that to be some sort of keyed fit that would just slip up off the shaft.

Am I correct about the procedure and the linkage is just stuck on the shaft or do I have the procedure wrong?

Take a screw driver and pry up on the linkage arm. It will pop off with a bit of a wiggle.

Might be easier to remove as an entire assembly? I took the entire wiper system out of my car in about 10 minutes.

Thanks, tbakowsky, a shot of WD-40 and a screwdriver did the trick. That's my problem with car repairs... I never know when to use finesse and when to use force.

P.S. The clutch master cylinder came off relatively easily once the wiper motor was out of the way.
