Was wire wheels some kind of original option at the time or is wire wheels aftermarket ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was an option from the Factory but came usually with cars destined for the US-market. Almost (!) all 4,9-Ghibli-Spyder were delivered with Borani-wheels. I personally prefer the standart sunburst magnesium wheel with the Ghibli. Ciao! Walter
"Almost (!) all 4,9-Ghibli-Spyder were delivered with Borani-wheels." You are most certainly correct, Walter. As my Ghibli Spyder SS didn´t come with Borranis And it´s Europesn delivery ! (And neither with the luggage set :-( but the again, it does have the hardtop... ) I also prefer the look of the standard wheels, btw. DB
The center caps on those wire wheels are incorrect but the wheels themselves look correct. The caps should have the Trident. It was the same center cap as what was used on the Indy. That is an easy fix if you can locate the proper caps. On the coupes the solid wheels give the car a more aggressive look. I must disagree with others; I think the wire wheels look very good on the spyders. Ivan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
