Does anyone know where to buy OEM fabric style wiring loom tape? I am trying to rebuild some wiring looms and would like to stick with OEM style fabric tape instead of using plastic electrical tape to wrap the looms. Thanks in advance for any info.

Try Elliott Group International. They supply tape to the wire harness industry. They have offices in Auburn, MI, El Paso, TX and Singapore.

    Hope this helps.

When I redid the wiring on my PF coupe, I found that the fabric electrical tape from Home Depot was close enough for me. In the old days of home wiring before wire nuts, one soldered the wires together, wrapped with a thick rubber tape and then used this fabric tape.

It is only moderately sticky, but when wrapped the length of a wire bundle with some overlap, it holds well enough. The picture shows it wrapped at the end of the metal covering. First, the covering is pushed back to allow wrapping of the wiring. Then with the covering extended, one wraps the wiring again, ending up over the end of the covering. That way there is no chance the sharp end of the metal can cut the wiring.

Most auto parts places carry it. Often called 'friction tape"
