So the Classic Air switch that I have apparently does both high and low switching. Which eliminates the need to have two switches wired for the A/C. The problem I'm having is I don't know exactly how it should be wired. I'm GUESSING that the two Orange/Black Stripe wires that used to go into the Low Pressure Switch will need to be combined into one and then that will be plugged to one side of the new switch. There is a Black wire connected to the old High Pressure Switch and an Orange/Black Stripe wire connected as well. I'm GUESSING that the Black wire will need to be disconnected from the old High Pressure Switch and then connected to the other side of the new switch. If this is correct please let me know. And also does this mean I can remove the old High Pressure Switch entirely and simply terminate the other Orange/Black Stripe wire that connected to it? I've included pictures. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. connect wires from low pressure switch together so circuit is always closed. 2. Connect high pressure wires to high pressure switch (like stock). The high pressure switch will control both high and low pressure cutoff. Take a look at pic I uploaded for your dryer question. Barry
So connect the two wires that are currently going to the old high pressure switch (the one that looks like a brass tube) to the new Classic Air switch, and then connect the two Orange/Black Striped wires that used to go to the old low pressure switch together?
The power train is a serial line from the fuse block through switches to the electrical clutch of the compressor. All switches must be closed to see 12V at compressor clutch to activate cooling. A single binary pressure switch now operates where one low pressure and one high pressure operated before so the unsed pressure switch must be bridged. have you seen this video, start at 5;30
Yes jumper the low pressure wires together and hook the high pressure wires to the new switch Sent from my SM-G781U1 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
