    Merry Christmas! 14 degrees C and blue sky in Villefranche sur Mer. Needless to say the 550 got a spin to the Christmas market in Monaco today. Saw one Enzo on the road while the Christmas music were playing and a couple of F40s in the windows. Kl three Christmas red of course... :)

    Santa brought me a new battery for my F-car.... Yay! (The last one just died)

    So is all this interest in the 456/550's part of a plan to purchase one soon?

    Not unless I win the lottery, John ;) I'd need a new house for the garage space.

    It all started when I couldn't find an immobiliser diagram for the F355 (5.2)... and realised the F550 had the same unit... and I did have a WSM diagram for that. I had to draw up the whole 550 immobiliser diagram to make sense of it though. By that time, I was hooked. Once you've done one car, you can often cut and paste bits and pieces from one car diagram to another making things a little easier. I assumed the 456, 550 and 575 were similar... until Taz told me otherwise... so I had to start work on the 456 :p. The 456 is a lot like the 550 in some respects, but the designers had a fetish for connectors... It seems to have twice as many.

    Anyway, if you can read a Ferrari wiring diagram, you can basically help anyone... and that's what I like to do. Also, any advice you give me on these cars will benefit everyone else as it will be incorporated into "our" wiring diagrams ;)

    Happy Russian new year to all - I think we are still thereabouts. It’s been such a mild and dry season here that I am going to take either my 575 or my 430 (both gated :) ) out for my weekend visit to my mother tomorrow. It’s not the Nurburgring but always an occasion. The cause is an enormous anticyclone extending from southern Europe to China, which is directing mild midatlantic air over Eurasia. Good for Ferraris, not good for powder hounds.
