One of my dreams is to own a Ferrari V12 with 4 real seats. I ended up buying a Cali30 7 months ago after doing a lot of research. No regrets!

I already set aside a significant maintenance/repair budget for the next 10 years. My wife and I are enjoying the Cali30 and when thinking about my next potential Ferrari in about 4 years, well for the first time in a long time the thought of a V12/4 real seats has faded a little bit.

Why? The reasons are that experiencing the Cali30 has brought a new perspective.

    * Living in South Florida, having a convertible brings a lot of joys. Last night again, we drove more than 1 hour with the top down in the evening (not as hot), magnificent experiences.

    * Space for 3 adults. Our families are mainly below 5’7 and fit (women less than 5’4), and a fit adult that tall can use the rear seat behind my wife without any issue (my wife pushes her seat forward). We did again several times last week, her sister (5’2) was in town and we drove to many places with her in the back. No problem. We do not have kids. So…I know we can have 3 people being comfortable in the car (not 4 but at least 3 is good enough in most instances). We have an SUV if more space is needed.

    * The Ferrari V8 engines are incredible and enough for top performances (I can also listen to the engine symphony even more with the top down).

    * A hard top brings the best of both worlds: a real coupe (hard top) and a convertible at the same time.

For the first time I start thinking that may be the next Ferrari might be a Portofino which is so gorgeous (not an FF/Lusso/612).

Did experiences such as mine change your way of thinking too (cars)?

Update. Comfortable in the seat behind my wife but only on short trips… Last time we were with her sister several days ago, we drove for about 1 hour, now her sister is mentioning that her back hurts. o_O

Im glad your experiece has been sublime. Im 18months into my 456GT adventure. It has also been (mostly) wonderful. I desired this car for a long time and am glad I pulled the trigger when i did.

Its amazing when it all works out! Dont be in a rush to try and beat that high, this car gives you. Sounds like you are still smiling ear to ear!

Thank you. Happy that you have a wonderful time with your 456GT, enjoy in good health! :)

Oh yes I am still smiling from ear to ear, it wont’ stop soon ;). I just came back from the post office, just a 10 minute drive, but all my senses were in heaven, my eyes were amazed, my ears were very satisfied, … I’m not changing my car anytime soon (3 or 4 more years) but this current experience has opened my eyes to the joy of owning a hard-top coupe/convertible Ferrari…
