A lifting accident last Oct, causing nerve damage to my neck, has made me think long & hard at selling my Stradale. I've tried every available treatment over the past 6 mo short of neuro surgery, and nothing has helped much. (have scheduled a nero appt). I simply cannot drive my Stradale as much as I'd like because of this injury. It's the most wonderful piece of mechanical art I've had the pleasure to own, and selling it is no easy decision. Please consider this post a feeler for the current market. Will put up an "official" FS post soon. Will be asking MSRP for it with 4800 mi on the odo. It's Grigio Titanio with full Black Leather & contrasting Titanium stitching. Several pics of it can be seen here:

    What is
MSRP on that car? I see low mileage cars(lower than 4800) going for 185K-190K. I have a friend looking for one.

    Steve,

6 months is too soon a time frame to abandon your CS.

I can speak from experience on this matter, as it took 1.5 years for a neck issue of mine to resolve!

Give yourself more time before deciding to sell unless you know for certain that the injury is permanent neurological damage, and get a few very professional opinions.

BTW, did the injury occur at your home or at a gym facility?

not sure since I don't have the window sticker handy, but I believe it's somewhere around 203k. I'll bet you haven't seen a Grigio Titanio over *full* black leather going for 185-190 ;c)

You might want to think about hiring a personal trainer. That's terrible news about your back. You should at least join a gym and get into shape.

Sorry Steve, I meant your neck, not your back. You should still hire a trainer and go to the gym. It will do wonders for both your neck and back. That is if you do the right exercises. That must have been one heavy model on top of that couch.

    Best of luck,

    Craig

is the model's weight. I'd hardly call that heavy. As for the couch, I don't know what It weighs. Thanks for the suggestions Craig, but exercising only makes it worse.

I am guessing Steve isn't in all that bad of shape if he fits in the competition seat of a CS. Sorry to hear about your neck man, that's terrible. I am with GCalo, give it a bit more time before you give up that wonderful piece of machinery

    Steve,

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get well. I remember when you got the car.

Didn't Andy from B hills get that car for you??

The color is awesome. I'm sure you will have no problem finding it a new home.

    All the best.....

steve, I am really sorry to her about your accident. Nerve injuries, as Gcalo and mufflerman alluded to, do take a long time and the older you are the longer. I have been through a bad spinal injury from high speed downhill ski racing crash. It took quite a while and a great deal of focus and committment but has almost fully resolved itself(certainly enough to enjoy a fine cs like yours:D). I would be happy to share my knowledge from a professional standpoint should you be interested. Shoot me a pm.
Best lof luck either way, John

If you want I can give you the contact for my Neurologist when I broke my C1 in four places, he's an excellent Neurosurgeon and I believe he is now the head of NY Cornell's Neurology Department. He got me up and going in 6 months.

I'm also in the market for a CS, let me know when your actually going to sell it, but I hope you'll enjoy it instead!

I've made an appt with a well respected Neurosurgeon in my area, and will see what he has to say. Im told he's not a "cut happy" doc, so I'm very keen to get an exam an opinion from him. I've already tried 3 mo of Chiropractic, followed by 2 mo of pain mgmt, which included both Acupuncture and Trigger Point injections. Lastly, I've recently received 2 consecutive Cervical Epidural injections. None of these treatments have done anything to improve my condition, so the Neuro Doc is the last stand. Probably should've seen him first, but initially didn't realize how serious this thing is.

I can feel your pain, I am going through a similar issue with my c6 & c7 discs causing pain down my left arm. Have not been able to drive my car nearly as much as I would like to. I got a steroid injection last thursday. I am told that that is temporary and will most likley require surgery.

I was going to post to see if anyone had any suggestions for making the Fcar seats more comfortable for injured people like us.

I hope that everything works out for you, because this pain ( of not being able to drive :)) really sucks!

A Cranial Osteopath might be your new best friend - before you let anyone slice & dice you I'd see if you can find one & book yourself an appointment.
While Ostepaths & Chiropracters are often seen as "the same thing", in reality they are very different
