My wife enjoys driving the Ferrari both the stick in the past and now the F1. But what I found more interesting is that she also has a genuine love for Formula1 ( and surprise... she get up early to watch it...) and everithing else that is Ferrari. She did not find it humorous when I suggested selling the car and stay without it until the F430 replacement arrives. On the other side I only enjoy the Daytona, which is much more difficult to drive for a woman (my wife does not care about it ). For what it is worth I only driven the F430 3 times since we acquired last year. My daughter loves both of them and unfortunately has a heavy pedal but at least she has attended racing schools.

Pretty nice hand position on the steering wheel.

Wish I could get my wife to do that!

Sophia is fun to drive and very easy too. I've driven her a few times but she's John's baby and I know how much he enjoys driving her so I'm just as happy being a passenger. My C320C 6 speed is my baby and reverse roles for that car. We take turns driving Kaspar - 6 spd SLK350 and the Audi (tiptronic - fun and peppey when in manual mode). I usually drive a red 4x4 chevy std 3/4 ton with a Ferrari shield in the back window as a daily driver.

Well, my first wife wouldn't ride in a car with the top down because it messed up her hair! ROTFL. Said I drove too fast. She now has a MB station wagon and a yippy little dog.

My real wife will not ride in a convertible with the top up unless it's raining or under 32 degrees F. Says I don't drive fast enough :)

    Why is getting a divorce so expensive...because it's worth it. :) :)

I'm surprised that no one mentioned that OJ and Nicole Simpson had matching Ferraris!

I don't remember the details but for some reason I thought they were white 348s. Could easily be wrong though.

In the U.S. it's easy, because 2% of all drivers can actually drive a manual. A stick shift parked outside a hair/nail salon here pretty much doesn't need an alarm. Or locks on the doors.

I classify F1's as automatics as well. ;)

Too bad you didn't get the yippy little dog. Tell your lawyer to go back for another round, I say.

Wife likes the Maserati coupe (6speed), but will not go near the vintage stuff. Anything that involves a starting procedure (pump the pedal to activate choke on the Cadillac, prime the electric fuel pump on the Ferrari) does not get driven. The only exception was a 1966 Mustang Fastback GT b/c it had sentimental value (grandpa had one).
She likes cars and understands the intrinsic value and the enjoyment beyond mere transportation, unique craftsmanship, etc. I am really just lucky that I found one who tolerates the hobby, as expensive and time consuming as it can be...and there is no yippee little dog. There was a smelly cat, but I became allergic shortly after it moved in...

Some of you may not know they can vote now too.

What kind of women did you guys marry that a simple gear box puzzles them? Didn't go for the Type A wife for fear of competition?

Damn thought I was a dinosaur since my wife does all the shopping for me and my little boys and I never set foot in a kitchen or do any housework. My wife can drive any car in my garage and if she ever dinged it ,big deal. Her cars are in better shape than mine. Heck my wife even has her own shifter kart, imagine that?

What will women do next ,wear pants to the secretarial pool ?

I was told when we got our car that it HAD to be F1 so it had the automatic mode for her to use. Guess how many times she has driven it........yup none.
Not that I am complaining, she loves the car, and being in it. I offer to change seats with her almost every time we are out in it but she is more interested in being a passenger and enjoying the scenery. I would call her a "car girl" seeing how she takes care of her truck (probably better than me), maybe the guilt if something would happen scares her.

P.S. I can only imagine what would have happened if I brought home a six speed, that would have been like me saying this is MY car not OUR car.

My wife is just the opposite. she will only drive a stick and is intimidated by the F1 system. since the car is in both names it's 'Our" car. ;)

"Her" car is the 6 speed Boxster S which I drive more than she does. :D

My wife liked driving my 97 456 GTA....I liked it too! It was a great sorta low key Ferrari for daily city type driving.

I believe that the second wife of the King of Belgium was quite comfortable driving her various custom Ferrari's...and that she also pretty much set the style that Jackie O tried to imitate. (Princess Lilliane de Rethy)

Did we also mention Denise McCluggage? (or was she not married?)

My Sig.O. pronounced the Testarossa as a "horrible monster" and is only comfortable driving her Miata. At least this leaves me money to pursue other cars.
