Word to PDF?

You need a PDF converter...there are PLENTY of free versions out there (check out tucows.com, etc.)

Once that is installed, you would "print" the document...but, you select the PDF converter as your printing destination (it will appear in your list of printers after you initiate the printing process). That will bring up a "save as" window that will allow you to rename and save to the directory of choice.

 

If you're running office 2010, just click "save as" pick .pdf and save it.

 

It's "built in" on a Mac.

 

I posed the same question a few months back and ended up downloading and using cutepdf.

The OP didn't specify the OS.

I was "just sayin'...."

OpenOffice can read Word files and export to pdf.
