When reviewing tightening torques in the workshop manual, what does 65÷75 Nm mean? Its a Class A +/- 5%

Tighten to 65 (minimum) to 75 (maximum) Newton-meters.

Torque specs in the workshop manuals are notoriously confusing and occasionally wrong.

So does the +/- 5% get applied on top of the 65-75?

What is the reference applied to?

As mentioned some are a little cryptic and if you give us some context we can help.

    F430 suspension, bearing fastening screw.

Scanning though other torques in the list , I notice one in a similar format, 25÷45 and has no class listed. Perhaps this item should not have a class either?
I will just hit 75Nm and be done.
Although it is confusing. Probably an error.

    Thanks.

An error sort of and just poorly written and translated by non technical people. The classes are a bad way of stressing level of importance.

A +or- on a fastener with a built in range was dumb too. Make it 65 to 75.

It is a real education to get a good description from someone who has a good technical background and is fluent in Italian. Their version and ours have some really startling differences sometimes.

Many of the translations are done by ESL students with no technical or automotive background.
