I've downloaded the 308QV/328 Factory Workshop manual and, basically, it is useless to me. I don't plan on rebuilding my own engine or gearbox so 99% of the info is lost on me. So, does Ferrari have a manual that tells you how to say, R&R the door panels? Or the center console? Or remove the lights, etc? Something similiar to the old Triumph, MG, Jag, or BMW manuals. Or even the Bentley stuff.

    Thanks,

    Joe

You want the short answer? Okay, here it is -- NO. What you are looking for doesn't exist. No one ever wrote a Chilton's manual for F-cars, no "308 for Dummies" books either.

I thought there is a section in the WM on interior and body parts. In any event, if you haven't done it, download the parts manual for your car. It has exploded views of just about everything on the car. That will give you a good idea how things are put together, which helps in figuring out how to get things apart. Also helps when reassembling. You can see the parts details on the Ferrari Owners site as well if you follow the links for parts. The online system has those exploded views of all of the parts.

Last, learn to use the search function here and in the old archives. Most things that you want to do have been discussed over and over, and if you search you will often find a description, step by step, of how to do a job, or at least helpful hints that make it possible to do without killing yourself or the car.

    Hope that helps.

    Well rats.

The manual I downloaded has nothing on the interior. If you know of one that does...

I've downloaded the most of parts manual stuff from the Owners site. Of course, it doesn't tell you about the hidden gotchas.

And yep, know how to use the search function, but if I can have a factory (or aftermarket) manual in front of me when I work, I like that a lot better.

    Thanks.

Don't be afraid. Taking apart the interior pieces and lights are very simple. Take digital shots of your progress and soon you'll have your own workshop manual with color photos. We'll be asking you for support.
