Any of the lawyers know the legal position behind: 1) Copyrighted manuals that are no longer available from the copyright holder E.g., if Ferrari can't supply a manual or wiring diagram, can they keep you from copying an existing manual? 2) Copyrighted manuals that are NOT being sold to the public E.g. What's the deal with manufacturers making parts catalogs or wiring diagrams only available to their dealers, even when the public can order parts (if they could find the part number)? Is is just me, or has the "Information Age" become the "Data Hoarding Age"? (Soon to become the "garbage in, garbage out" era) Heck, I can't even get a monthly schedule from AMC channel's web page anymore. I mean, how is it in their interest to hide their TV schedule from the public? Or have we left the "Information Age" for the "Dim Ages"?
Here is a link that explains the longevity of a copyright (if obtained by a corp after 1978, at least 95 years). Bummer, eh?: http://www.unc.edu/~unclng/public-d.htm
550 Workshop Manual Section M (Chasis & Bodywork) and Section N (Maintenance Scedule) is missing i my version. -Anyone have these ?
Hey, you can't post that! The text of copyright laws are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced! ;>) Ken
Hi, i'm french and i have a 355. do you have a slolutioon for access at your download section ferrari workshop. Thank you
Is this a work shop manual or technical manual. I was told ferrari started making technical manual on 550 Barchetta and on. on 550 maranello work shop manual is almost same as owners manual which comes with the car. I paid $350 to a company out of washington state for the same work shop which you can down load for free from ferrari owner's site. When I complain that it is not the original and it is a copy, they took it back. I am woundering they have the right to make a copy or not, I am in Glendale send me a PM I have stories to tell you.
Great collection! fyi: The file named "Homologation Certificate 328 GTB.pdf" is for the 308. I also think "Homologation Certificate GTB Turbo.pdf" is incorrect as well Greg.
For me, it's the data hoarding and I try to keep the garbage out I've seen far too many web sites, full of good information, dissappear without notice So when I find info I find useful to me and my hobbies, I collect it and dump it on my server. Thus, it was 1996 when my "digital librarian" idea hit me and I started my collection of information (Geocities was the first location and, in the beginning, it had decent, free web hosting). Since I like to help other enthusiasts I make it available to them. Why have information if you can't share it (not applicable to my time in the Navy, of course ).
Does anybody have the 355 workshop manual available? A lot of people have mentioned it, but can't actually find it anywhere! I know you can access it on the355.com, but It would be nice to have a locally stored version if possible. Great resource by the way.
