http://www.automotosport.info/?prikaz=vijest&id=222 Do any of you owners pay anywhere near half of what this cost? Listen to the detail of what this guy does. Noc
10k is a lot of scratch for a detail job! OF course its a drop in the bucket for a million dollar car owner... My question is, with the depth meter he uses for the paint, what happens if there isn't enough material to procede? Then what, the 7k detail? Anyone have a clue as to what products he uses? May help out to the detail fanatics here...
He uses the Zymol system, a highly marked up line of detailing waxes and glazes. The uber-priced line is the Zymol Royale.....$8,000 USD for a few ounces. Fchat is the detailing authority when it comes to cars, you may also want to try searching "Detailing".
I just got oiff the phone with this chap, and he informed me that Rob is hosting a seminar on this detail process with him in the Spring. There will be a drawing and the lucky winner will get the Barnimum Bailey treatment. A bit excessive but apparently the process works.
Ooh i've seen that exact MC12, wasnt that clean when i saw it... Maybe we should all learn from his techniques and not fork out all that cash??
very interesting stuff indeed! I thought I was anal about cleaning / waxing / polishing etc my cars! I am heading down to my garage to do some detailing work on the 355 now! He got me inspired!
If the car detailing costs $10,000, it better take a month. I think the wax container is expensive, refills of the wax are a lot cheaper ( but still more than turtle wax). Nothing he does in the video is really unique at all.
Better than that goofus that was running the ad in Forza saying he would use gold impregnated wax or something.
The guy does do a good job. I don't think I would spend that much on a lowly 430 or 512 but I would like a good detail like the guy does.
Chris, this point is not quite accurate. What is unique is that he cleans $10K from someone's pocket! Snake oil or not, he's successfully convincing those folks to part with that cash! Notice how he's quick to point out what some of the materials cost. That's chopped liver to what he's charging. I really like the wax mixture that's "not really wax until it's applied"! I believe that if it smells like wax, looks like wax, and feels like wax, it's wax! I thought of doing this, but Bob Willis might object. So, maybe I'll just defer to him! There's a rumor Rifledriver may offer this service at his shop!
yo would think that at 10k a pop, he could get his teeth fixed eh ? his detail job is worth about $100 bucks....i didn't even see him vacuum the car
this car wash better be done by 20 sexy models with their smooth a s s washing aganist then car than a spunge, as well as a week long complementary gangbang. 10k a car wash, i wash my cars every week, most once a fortnight, i can buy another Murcielago after half a year! or another Enzo after a year... I'll rather pay 10K for the mechanics to service or engine rebuild, or whatever than washing it. I know Pap would love to have 20 sexy models washing his car... , may be its something we can organise ey pap
I challenge this guy and his $10k detailing job to what I could do any Saturday in my driveway on a lowly Dodge Ram. Id be surprised if most people could tell the difference between the two jobs.
I think poeple only do it before a car show where they need to take close up photos. Then little scratches do make a difference under the light.
whats the difference in that stuff compared to a good bottle of any of the main manufactured ones? a wash is a wash.
