I've always felt the 225 S Vignale spider was a very ugly looking car, too.
It's an old argument... but I don't think it is now a recreation as much as a restored car (it is now back in its original condition) in the same way as an accident damaged car, when restored, is not a replica
I don't say that to disparage 2491. I say it as an attempt to give more credibility to rebodies on a GTE chassis. I think that even well-meaning and well-educated Ferraristi don't realize how much a 2+2 family Ferrari has in common with a sports prototype of the same era. Is there any Ferrari that is "ugly on the outside but beautiful on the inside"? The first thing that always pops in my mind is a Porsche 917K....
