    woman got a tape worm that migrated to her brain, most likely when someone who was infected with the tape worm didn't wash their hands after going #2...

    oh man, watching this vid makes me think twice about eating out. you don't need to eat pork to get this... you just need to be served by some unhygenic person who ate undercooked pork.

    I saw this. Amazing story, glad she recovered fully. Doctor says he sees 5 or 6 of these a year.....

    Yes, yes it was! The girl that couldn't feel pain had one, they cut her open while she was still awaked and pulled a worm out that was like 5 feet long.

    I don't think this is a case of someone who did not wipe their butt and wash their hands. It sounds like she ate **** that had actual worms in it.

    BTW, no one seemed to notice the fluke comment the doc in the video made!

    I don't know if the doc was playing to an inside joke or if it was just a figure of speech (flukes are a internal parasitic worm as well, but a different kind) ergo: the pedantic doc's joke. Ohhh...never mind....

    I think he was referring to the fact that it is becoming more and more common. I think he was saying the five or so cases he had in the past few months could be a coincidence (fluke) instead of being something like a new outbreak or something.

    As a biologist I can say you really don't want to think about the hands that serve you in any restaurant. Fast food is very scary.
