I heard about it and was about to go but I knew it was going to end up being a rice fest.

If theres one thing I hate about San Antonio it's the car scene. There's nothing down here except for trucks, trucks and trucks. And if there is an import crowd they're all little kids who burn out on parking lots for fun and try to drive top speed on the freeway.

You should've taken your 360 over there dude. Shown them some Naturally aspirated power!

    BTW, it's Houston-imports.com... :)

Hey Will, I got an extra set of shields for your car.. The stick on ones with the neon/LED backlights.. I'll bring them to the next "how to install LED windshield washer fluid jets" seminar at Pep Boys.. That should help us blend in at the Fall Tour..

    haha...thats what i was thinking.

I hate the ones that try to fix up like the cavaliers, or the focus's...and then the tubi sounds dead awful...blehhh. haha...I remember i was with Paul in his 550 and their was a young guy with his suit up eclipse, i thought he was going to try to rev besides the 550, but he just shot up the thumbs up...hehe, they should be afraid.

I dont have a problem with the german fest like Soopmax (sorry cant spell) post, some of those cars are awesome, but these honda crowds and stuff needs to go in SA.

I know what you mean....About 3 years ago, my car group started the Bennigan's Meet at I-10 and Wurzbach. It was just a bunch of us in our Rx-7s, Mustangs, 350z, and some other nicer cars. Then, someone handed out fliers at UTSA with the Honda and Acura symbols all over them. Needless to say, the parking lot got packed with one wheel burnouts, Scion trucks with strobes, and cavaliers with unpainted bodykits. To each their own in taste, but all that did was attract the police in a negative way....It's somewhat calmed down and some of the respectable crowd seems to be coming back around. Now, we just go inside and eat. By the time we're done, the police have already scared off the idiots. I think a lot of this came about also because the culebra "hangout" for these guys was pretty much closed down. Everywhere we went(tried switching locations), the Soy Sauce event seemed to follow. It'll never end, lol.....

Now, we'll usually go to Biff's on Friday nights(I-10 and 35 area). I'll be setting up another drive with my group and hopefully soon, a charity event.

lol JJP.....I've been to a few shows around SA, but as stated by you, there's the reason why I've quit going....Just hang out at Biff's. Great crowd, nice cars and you can feel safe leaving your car alone.....

    This thread is to funny.

The problem is not the cars, nor the money, nor the lack of people willing to participate...it's the promotion.

I knew nothing about this show untill my buddy called me that mid-morning asking me to come by their booth. Let's face it, the promotors suck. The can't even get their DJ to play the music they want, much less get some cars there that attract the crowd.

Me, I'm a car guy, I go just to see what kind of stuff is there. From the Target installed stereo systems in the Cavilers, to the $30,000 paint jobs on the Rollerz Only Caddy, there is always something to marvel at. You just have to take the good with the bad, and appreciate it all.

Besides, you never know what you might see.

ha...I can see what you are saying Wes, its that i kind of get tired of it when i see it every single day at school and on the streets around here, but im talking about the cars that are like not fast and the furious, especially with that nasty exhaust...

hehe...I wonder who won Best in Show at the Live Oak show...;)
