Today. A rainy day in central Florida. On my way home traveling on I-95. My once beautiful ferrari hydroplaned. Spun off the road, skipped on puddles like a rock on water, hit a wood pole and was wrapped in barbed wire. My ferrari 360. Is utterly demolished. No speeding involved. No racing. Nothing. Just a bad. Bad. Day.

Thank God because it could have been worse. I am very sorry that you hurt your car, though. The rain really comes down hard and fast in Florida and I can see that being a big problem when driving one of these cars. What was the condition and age of your tires?
Again, thankfully you are alive and well. That is what we have insurance for.

Thanks all for the well wishes. This isn't an easy thing to go through. Don't know what I'll do with the car. Hopefully I always belong here on Fchat. Tires were in good shape. I was driving on the highway when the storm started. I was doomed.

Look on the bright side, if that's your worst day ever you've got a pretty great life. Cars can be fixed a lot more easily than people.

This. VERY sorry to hear, but you're obviously fine and your insurance will make you whole. Chance to go out and get another beautiful 360.

    Pics by chance??

Not sure on tires that were on there. Just sucks that my dream car is now ruined. Not sure on my sports car purchase. I have a little v6 mustang for breaks when I just didn't feel like taking the ferrari out. Probably just gonna drive that for a month or two and regain myself. Not an easy thing to do. Just take my time and hopefully
Strike when the times right. Just as I did the first time.

I feel sorry for your loss. I have some of the same questions that are being asked since the rain comes down hard and fast here too!

What was the road surface? Be specific if you can.
    What tires?
Were you in sport mode or ASR off by any chance?
    What speed were you going?

    Again totally sucks...

I assume you were insured so you can replace the car, right?

    Don't stress
Like they said it's only a car
I was in a similar predicament last year where a guy with no headlight t boned me and wrote off my daily driver
I replaced it with a much better car with no extra funds so it worked out ok

Road surface was wet. But seemed safe enough to drive.
    Not sure on wheels.
Sport mode is always on. Asr is also always on.
Speed limit is 70 but given the conditions I was at a solid 60

So it was a typical concrete interstate freeway of descent quality?
Any patches or all smooth and good?
    I am assuming no grooves.

was it small pools that got you or a big sheet flow area?

ASR is dramatically reduced in Sports mode.

From what I could tell it was a perfect road honestly. It was like a series of small pools.
