Cmon how does no one remember Ukyo Katayama!! he was legendary back-marker and someone always retiring! He is one of the few drivers to have the honour of rolling the car b4 the start line (1995 Portuguese GP) Woo hoo found it on utube! http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=P6quuYoMhGc&feature=related The 4min+ mark shows he was at fault driving into our favourite Ferrari test driver wax: Sato is the most successful Japanese driver in F1
Bad racing driver: Enzo Ferrari. He was such an unsuccessful driver, he had to shift to running a team and a factory. For which we are eternally grateful. Another oldie: When Honda execs were touring the McLaren garages, they asked: "How can the drivers see anything in those small mirrors?" A McLaren mechanic replied, "Don't worry. That's Nakajima's car. There's never anyone behind him."
"Lighten up Francis" It was a JOKE hence the at the end. Whether or not you think Hamilton walks on water or a total wanker (I'm in that camp) there is no denying the mans talent in an F1 car. Man you Hami lovers are a sensitive bunch.
dont remember the guys name... i remember watching a thing on F1 history and guys who used to buy their way into f1. there was some guy called "Count/Lord something" who used to crash all the time.
It does matter who pays his ticket. It shows whoever is paying for it knows he is a capable driver. TATA is no BS company that will just sponsor anyone, otherwise they wouldn't have sponsored Ferrari. If it was his dad paying for it than that shows he is a spoiled brat( Pedro Diniz) who just has too much money to burn. As for his driving, he never had a problem qualifying and had some really brilliant moments which showed he had potential. My definition of worst are ones who are embarrasing to the sport, the fans and themselves. From what I remember Narain did none of that. Actually he did the opposite.
The pass Sato made on Alonso in Canada 2007 by default keeps him off the list. I truly enjoyed watching hima and hope he can return. Zsolt Baumgartner is Hungarian so I can't include him on the list and there was a race or two when he outqualified his teammate (as did Scott Speed). Aside from the obvious (Ide), I'll cast a vote for Montoya. Why? He's the caliber of Hamilton, Kimi and Alonso. On a marquis team (Williams was good but not great; McLaren wasn't in top form in his day), the battles would be great fun to watch. Instead he's somewhere in the middle of the pack making left turns. Then again JV isn't even doing that.
Monza then Indy. The crash at Indy was the one that took all the race out of him. He had flashes of genuine racer in him, but he never had the work ethic to turn those flashes into something more.
Well, rude, arrogant, and always crashes into others but with all the hype, he's was one of the most overrated drivers.
