The reason it was recovered twice from being stolen was that the thief couldn't stand it either and decided to return it! ;-)

My worst ride was an 88 Mondial Cab with a leaky top and faulty a/c. I had to drive that thing from Lime Rock to Mid Ohio in a cold rain storm. Every freakin window was fogged up and the headliner was dripping moldy water on me for two straight days.
My worst Ferrari was a cut Daytona, the doors were so low that I always fely like I was gonna fall out of the car. It was fast and fun, just never felt safe in that one.

My worst Ferrari was my 328, that is now my best Ferrari (see other thread) because
it's the ONLY Ferrari I've ever owned! The day she was delivered:

    1. The shift linkage went out of whack - no gears other than 2 and 3
    2. The tow hoop broke and she rolled OFF the flatbed, almost taking out my fence
    3. Had a rotten cat filled with window screen that had to be replaced
    4. Had a rotten exhaust that was filled with the remains of the cat
    5. Had a bad Microplex (still does - living with no vacuum advance)
    6. Had a non-working handbrake - would not release
    7. Had a piss-poor mixture setup and smelled like gas all the time
    8. Had mud under the NEW carpet in the trunk bay
    9. Had massive corrosion around all the Microplex connectors (see mud above)
    10. Had overspray indicating a repaint - none of which was visible without a REALLY detailed look
    11. ALL of the above was missed on my supposed PPI and the PPI of the PO last August.

Other than that, she was great! But all sorted out now - runs like a new car,
and she's now my FAVORITE Ferrari I've ever driven

    :D

512 BB. Car was a good example, in good shape, ran great, sounded awesome. But for me, the driving position was absolutely crippling. In 15 minutes my back was throbbing. I went to the dealer with a check in hand, left with the check. To this day I love the cars but would never consider owning one.

Stupid move financially, as the car was being sold for low 90s. 2 years later it was worth at least 20k more.

First Ferrari I drove was a QV I was getting a PPI on. Get on the interstate during rush hour and soon speeds went from 60 to bumper slow. I went to the brake pedal and it went almost to the floor. I was being VERY conservative and still I barely got it stopped in time. This particular car was just a mechanical nightmare, car showing 25k miles with tires worn bald and thankfully Norwoods gave it a very poor review in the PPI.

I think my best and worst driven Ferrari would be the same car. Lucky to drive a Lusso on Laguna Seca for the FCA Annual Meet 2004. One of the biggest Ferrari thrills of my life, but also got the full "vintage" driving experience.

I once drove a 599 in my dream and then crashed it. It was an awesome dream though.

Worst Ferrari dream goes something like this:

My friend was driving a Z06 Targa (don't ask me how) and was doing laps around this empty grocery store parking lot. I was coming to show off my new red Enzo, and when I got in it [it was already there waiting for me (don't ask me how)], I couldn't give it enough gas to get it going. It was a standard six-speed (i know they don't make standard six-speeds, this is a dream) and I just couldn't give it enough gas to go. I just kept almost killing it.

I don't need any psychiatric help. To date I haven't crashed any Ferraris in my dreams that I remember, so this will have to serve as the worst.

Worse ride: In the Mondial t, raining with the top up, but you'd never know it. Seems that when the top was replaced by the prior owner, he didn't bother to adjust it for leaking. I've got it fixed now, but the joke was if you needed a shower, take the Mondial for a ride in the rain. Also replaced all of the carpets after that, along with a few of the electronics.
