    Friend of mine is taking photo's of a girl in some scantily clad clothes for Maxim magazine and needs some exotics for her to pose with. It would be Saturday afternoon at Battleground's shop (http://www.batlground.com) that's located on Atlanta Road, a few miles down from the East/West connector.

    I'm up for an early morning drive somewhere as well before the shoot if anyone's interested.

    Is maxium paying for the exotics or is it just a show up at free will if you can ?

    Well, this girl wants to be in Maxim's Hometown Hotties section or something like that from what I understand so it isn't directly affiliated with Maxim. My friend is just taking her photo's so they can be sent to Maxim. He uses a Cannon 20D capable of very high-res photos. He could have posters made of the exotics as a way of "paying" them to be there, heh.

    Batlground is a performance shop, focusing mostly on imports. They have a good reputation in the Supra community. Looks like their site is down, but their new address is 1770 Atlanta RD SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 if it helps...

    The plan right now is to meet at Battleground at 3:00 pm.

    If we go for a drive/shoot in the mountains then we could just meet at FOA in the morning. I'll ask my friend about the possibility of doing it up north somewhere.

    Brian, that would be awesome if you could bring out the 360!


    Looks like the shoot will be at Battlegrounds shop (1770 Atlanta RD SE, Smyrna, GA 30080) at 3:00 pm.

    If we want to run up to the mountains before the shoot, I would say meet at FOA at around 11:00.

    I stopped by Batlground after leaving work (it's about 1/4 mile away!) and checked the place over. I told them I might bring the 328 over on Saturday. More Ferraris would be even better!

    How late in the day will the shoot continue to? I'd like to go to Alpharetta for dinner at about 5:30 or so.

    Now I'm not so sure that I can make it. When I went to get the 328 this evening, it would not start! I had to leave the car; the technician will go in in the morning and see what happened. In order that I could get home, the shop owner loaned me his Saturn--a car that is definitely an "appliance".

    If he solves the problem and I get the car back in time, I'll be there. If not, I'm certain you do not want to use the Saturn!

    Still planning 3:00. It shouldn't last too long, I would guess ~1 hr if everything is on time.

    Bring the 360!

    Take 85 south, 285 west to Atlanta Road, take a right and go straight, it's right off of Atlanta road a few miles down on the left.

    I could meet you somewhere if you wanted and we can cruise there together.

    Hope you can make it!

    Call anyone else you know with an exotic and see if they'd like to tag along, the more the better of course.

    My experience with these types has taken an hour or more to set up. Then if different outfits or shots are taken more time.

    Were you in your Testarossa on Piedmont Road south of Buckhead yesterday evening? I was getting into my car and heard/saw a really nice red one go by.

    It was a fun time. The model enjoyed our presence and we certainly enjoyed hers!

    Four Ferraris (308, 328, 348 & 360) and 3 Supra Turbos took part in the shoot at various times.

    Josh, (fast Shadow),

    No my TR is painted a dark grey (Grigio Metallico) with a light cream interior. (Crema) But the best way to tell my car is by the sound it makes. It is the loudest street ferrari around. People tell me they know I am coming when I am still two miles away! It is true! (Flat 12 running no cats and only two tiny resonators for mufflers--it is quite an evil sound!)

    I concur with it being a very noticeable evil sound when he is approaching. Ken, Ray and I heard you from quite a ways down the road when we met for that Wolf Mountain Winery drive. I could even hear you over the exhaust inside my Stang!

    My friend said that he will send the pics to you all but they can't be posted for copywright reasons. He's still narrowing down the 6,500 pics he took, heh.

    Rick, maybe you can ask him if there are just a couple of pics you could post, just to give the membership the "flavor" of the afternoon; perhaps a couple that, for one reason or another, he does not plan to submit to the magazine.
