    Hello All,
Would a leak in the slave cylinder cause the clutch to slip? I am having a real problem with the clutch slipping and the slave cylinder is slightly leaking??
    Thanks in advance.

depends on the car. annular T/O bearings like a 345/355 yes because the sealed T/O bearing is one with the pressure plate fingers. No on a 308 because the T/O bearing is on a finger that rides a shaft.

I would fix the leak and see. When I had a 348, the motor would get hot enough on a track to boil the fluid and then no clutch. Changed the fluid to fix it. I don't claim to be an expert on these but it seems to me that a leak could reduce pressure that could effect the operation. I also have a Celica race car. When I got it, the clutch felt like it was on its last legs but I also noticed the PS fluid which also works the clutch looked really bad. I changed it and the clutch works much better. Apples and oranges I know but these systems can be sensitive so I would fix a known issue before looking for others.

    Good luck,
    Dave
