Based on the threads here and steve Mqueens name being raised as a drivers driver, do you really think someone who chose an xkss would go for paddle shift.

Sure. Race drivers do. Why wouldn't he?

What he wouldn't be worried about is if his bluetooth streamed to his car's radio or not.

    What radio?

Oh, and he would probably spell his name correctly: McQueen. :)

I would assume he'd buy whatever helped him go the fastest. He was a driver, not a poseur.

Steve's Baja Boot has a fully automatic gearbox with a Hurst Shifter..

As it won that race and several others he seems to have made the right choice.

McQueen's XKSS had nearly 300 bhp, which was a rocket at that time. He paid $5,000 for the car (today's estimated value is $2M). There were only 16 sold, and although they were a stripped-down road version of the D-type, amenities included a passenger seat. Steve had the seats upholstered with padding and the glove box covered, so I guess he didn't mind adding comfort to the ride. Given this, I would say paddle shifters would be fine with him.

It is heresy to misspell his name.
