    that's the way i would do it. it is the proper thing to do.

    keep in mind that many ferraris over the years have received "port work" which is to say repairs resultant of damage durring shipping.

    Think about what you just wrote. FIAT painted the TR you looked at & you dont think anyone can paint better than FIAT ? :)

    I am sure many can paint better than Fiat. I try to buy cars 'smart' and the original intention of the thread was to take a sampling of the current owners to see if paintwork greatly affected the purchace price. From what I got 'No it doesn't' as long as it is quality work and not the result from major damage. I could care less but I always have 'resale value' in the back of my head thus wanted to take a sampling.
    I picked up my TR last weekend and it just happened to be a virgin in the paint department.
