When you buy something the price is final, including tariffs and all that. So if Ferrari is announcing they will raise prices 10% it's to the consumer. They haven't detailed whether they will raise wholesale prices to the dealers who "buy" the cars first. I am assuming no. Their announcement is to make it clear to the consumers that they will have to offset some of the tax onto them.

Whether I would decline it or not depends on what other things I have in the works are affected.

This still doesn’t make sense to me. So did they just announce they are cutting prices 15% before the tariff?

    Or 35% increase total?

And what about for 296, SF90, and Roma?

Just FYI, Porsche is calling a meeting of all the dealers maybe on Friday. Story is the word will come down from on high.

FoLV called a week ago and said that Ferrari has agreed to pay the tariff on 296, SF90, and Roma Spider, and the price will stay "the same*."

    * What is "the same" on a completely moveable target when I have signed a binding purchase agreement that agrees to pay an indefinite MSRP upon import, at an indefinite time?

No way they could build in US - the are the only manufacturer who still has onsite foundry to cast their own blocks etc.

how exactly has it cruised around the tarrif turmoil? they are still absorbing 15% margin themselves as well as potentially inciting cancelled orders / reduced amount of options etc by raising prices 10%

As I understand it, the tarrif applies to the cost price of the product not the selling price. If Ferrari increase prices by 10% that covers most of the tarrifs hit.

They can also just increase prices whenever they want, we never know the cost of our car till it gets to us. I wouldn't be surprised if they also increase option prices, they've done that over time as well and keep increasing prices on paint colors...

Why couldn't Ferrari drop the invoice cost of the vehicle 25% to 50% or more to ferrari north America. That cuts the tariff rate applied. car gets imported. Then Ferrari invoices Ferrari NA for some tangible or intangible service on the vehicle like a software upgrade for the price delta. It is an obvious workaround of course. Just curious if there are mechanisms or rules in place that would prohibit this from being an option to make up some of the difference.

My guess is that there's a limit in what customers would accept; it's difficult to know until it's reached, but for any business there's always the risk to cross this limit and see its sales drop.

Let’s see… Apple CarPlay is no longer a no cost option…$6500 looks like a nice number. Now for those pesky carbon fiber options… multiples of $10K looks easy to remember… only standard paint Rosso Corsa… all else are now high margin historic colors…$$$$
