Lewis hasn't got the patience driving about hoping for a podium for 3 years. By the time the Ferrari team would become competitive with "lewis's" people, he'll be retired.

This is why I am not in favour of long term contracts, unless they have get-out closes.
Look at Fangio, he always look for the best car and changed team almost every year.
He also won a championship for every constructor he drove for: Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Mercedes and Ferrari.
    Who can beat that now?
That's the way to conduct a career when you know your Worth; a driver must look after himself first.

Hamilton really is the Neymar of F1. Can't stand the drama queen. And certainly not want to see the him at Ferrrari.

Monaco GP: Putting Lewis Hamilton's 'miracle' in perspective, by
Jolyon Palmer, Former Renault driver & BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/48428176

"For me, though, there was an element of showmanship in Hamilton's radio messages. It was all a bit 'Hollywood'.

"No other driver would have been on the radio in quite the dramatic way Hamilton was. In fact, we barely heard any other team radio throughout the race, apart from the odd gee-up from Verstappen's race engineer, in typically casual fashion."

"But having made his point and questioned it, the constant drama was escalating across the radio as the laps ticked by."

Because nothing appeared to be changing - Hamilton still had Verstappen at a close, yet comfortable distance - the world champion's showmanship out front really added something to the grand prix.
But in reality, Hamilton still had the race under control.

Without a massive car advantage and a huge amount of risk, you can't pass at Monaco.

"The problem Hamilton had was with his front tyres, not his rears. That meant he could always get perfect traction off the corners and disappear on the straights in the crucial places - into the chicane and into Sainte Devote."

    Etc.etc.

Ferrari does not need another driver, they need another way to manage the team and potentially another team.
Hamilton at Ferrari would be a good news since he will only join a winning team ;)

My statement hasn't got anything to do with contracts. It's about how long it realistically takes to turn a team around.

When lewis wasn't in dominating cars he was ****ing up just as often as Vettel.

You were talking about Hamilton not having the patience to wait 3 years for a revamped technical team to give him a Ferrari capable of a podium.
Why should any top driver like him put himself in that situation by signing a long term contract?
Look what happened to Alonso (at Ferrari and McLaren), or Vettel now!

I genuinely don't understand what you are missing.

Lewis moving to Ferrari, taking a technical team with him. It will take 3 years before they'll be championship ready. The length of his contract does not matter. The time to build a fast car will still be the same.

I voted no, but may change to yes after all... because Hamilton has been very smart to pick up the winning team, so him joining Ferrari would not help Ferrari but would tell that Ferrari has become the winning team ;)

You are insinuating two things with that post.

    1) That another member wrote this post
    2) If written by said member, that member saying Tifosi are generally racist.

    Both non-trivial allusions.

You may be absolved, by providing where you got those screenshots; then you are just quoting hearsay.

    Thanks

May be moot now, but they looked like PlanetF1 I think (recognizing the way the article comments are formatted.) Lots of click bait articles over there - comment section always bit of a train-wreck.
