    I'm trying to expand my portfolio in a few areas. I spent all summer focusing on event coverage, and now it's time to produce some individual features.

    I'd like to offer some photo shoots to the owners of some great cars!

    I'd prefer automobiles that are really unique or rare.

    Rizzoli from RCD in Gaithersburg is more into photography now than building racecars. He has some oversized printer and can do life sized photos of your car. He has one hanging on the wall of one the racecars. He took a picture of the car with and without the bodywork on and overlaid them and printed it out full sized. His shop is right around the corner from Competizione.

    Wetpet, I'd like to approach magazines with a nice variety of auto shoots in my portfolio. I'm sure a Carrera GT or F40 would do wonders.

    Offer still stands! I'd like to do a local shoot soon...anyone?

    not to burst your bubble, but it probably won't. It's the quality of the work, not the car. I've shot all of them and i ain't getting in any mags anytime soon. there are pro photags on here that can give you better advice than me.

    It's the shop right next to Robbie's in the airpark. I'm pretty sure you can see the pic I'm talking about through the windows. I have his cell somewhere or ask Richard or Robbie, I think he knows how to get a hold of Rizzoli or just call the shop and leave a message and he'll get back to you in a day or two. Chances of catching them in the shop durning daylight is slim.

    I am well aware of what you are saying. I am always working on improving the quality of my shots. The more shoots, the more experience.

    However I'm not aiming for one flavor of auto magazines. I'd like to shoot imports, domestics, exotics, classics, you name it. My love for shooting cars is all-encompassing.

    If I'm going to approach Modified Luxury & Exotics it would be ideal to have a few sets of exotic cars to show would it not?

    Might help, but again they'd probably look at the overall quality. If you could shoot a Toyota and make it look like a Ferrari I'm sure you'd get there! There are a few professional photographer/photojournalists here...maybe they'll speak up.

    How about a shoot with that 328 gts? You can try out some of my lighting stuff and I'll teach you some evil tricks in Photoshop.

    is this to me? i have my own lighting and 10k worth of equipment. Not to sound too cocky, but i'm sure i could teach you some evil ps tricks.

    You have some skill with a camera and your compositions in your online portfolio show promise. Perhaps an ounce of humility would serve you well in taking that next step. Don't presume you have something to teach but rather something to learn to grow your talent further....

    While I admit my statement sounded cocky, that wasn't my aim. I didn't know of your gear, and you didn't know I didn't really need my statements commented on / evaluated. It was a friendly offer, sorry.

    Maybe we could shoot together and show each other some tricks then.

    that's ok.... I have nothing to prove. You are the one actively soliciting this forum to pad your portfolio. Sorry you missed my point. Perthaps as you mature in your career it'll become more apparent what I'm talking about. Good luck to you.
