what you put in is what you get out...

Car might be right at upper 40's low 50's. A drive and an independent PPI is a must. You won't resell it to a purist so just keep in mind you've dramatically diminished your market.

However, I would speculate there are quite a few buyers who would look past a rebuilt title if the repairs and the scope can be identified and understood. I'd try and locate the repair/service shop and pull records via seller. This car in my opinion w/ clear title and 10k off the mileage is probably a $65k car. Of course assumming headers, valves and all that other stuff is in order. I'd think a $15-$20k deduct is in order. So $45k-$50k (depending on other issues, top, service history, clutch, tires, interior wear, paint, seats, dash and so forth).

The way I drive my cars, they lose a majority of value due to mileage. If I were in the market, and assuming the PPI didn't throw too many red flags, I'd pick this one up

If you are really starving go for a 308. Dirt cheap (20s- 40s) & you have a beautiful, timelessly designed Ferrari. Just my thoughts.

Find out first how bad the car got hit. A lot more than just frame damage can occur. For example, a bad hit can literally shake the motor apart to the point where it needs to be resealed. Some of you long time guys will remember the story of the 348 that fell off a tow truck? I talked to the guy who later brought (or was it brokered) that car, and it required a major redo just to seal the engine.

The best place to have it checked out would be Ferrari of Houston. They have the best body shop and the most experience (i.e., rebuilding race cars that have hit a wall) of just about any body.

Granted, this is kinda hard to do on Ebay, which begs the question of why some one would sell a Ferrari on Ebay.

The way I see it ... if you can buy the car for around $45k, drive the crap out of it, sell it in a few years for $30-$35k (should be NO problem) ... net-net, cheaper then a new Mustang

He is 6'4" and 275?? Who buys a car knowing they can't fit in it??? Sounds like a selling gimmick to steer you away from the fact of the collision...

I thought the same thing. I've heard of impulse buyiing but to buy a car you can't fit in, BS..

If I were to get into a purchase like this I would in fact drive it as much as possible to really enjoy it. After it starts to loose it luster turn it into a track car or finally let the wife drive it.

I'm not looking to get this particular car but thought if you guys felt it was a good deal if something like this was around when I am ready.

    Thanks
    Ron

IF you look closely you will see that the passenger side airbag cover looks a bit bent. The same for the center console. Right by the dials you will see the same.
May have had some water damage. The engine compartment needs a lot of help. It's ready for a carbon fiber make over.

I do take these as red flags

    :)

Depends on what you want to do with this car. As you can see, resale value has been dramatically reduced. If it is to be your daily driver and you plan to drive it into the ground, maybe it will work....if it truly was rebuilt from a crash. If this car was flood damaged, I would run away as fast as you can. Understand that one reason these cars do not make economical daily drivers is the cost of maintenance. Parts that need to be replaced more often and simply cost more than your average vehicle. The fact that they cannot confirm that the belts were changed would make me want to replace them. Then, every 30K miles, you have that expense again. If I used this car as my daily driver, I'd be doing that every 18 months. You must have a backup car for when this one is out of service. This plan is not for the budget-minded. If you have enough cash lying around, buy a nice example and enjoy it on the weekends.

I wouldn't be too judgemental regarding the seller. I have purchased, including my curren 355, cars sight unseen. However, not withstanding my 355, either been dissapointed in the car in some respect and sold it quickly. If the guys says he can't fit in the car, maybe he can't.

I think this is probably a steal if resale value doesn't top your list. Good Luck!

    I agree with vitamin J.

This car may be a sleeper, and even if it requires headers and cats, it still might be a good deal.

It's possible it could give an owner lots of fun and value.

I think it would be a good deal. Maybe I am a junk man, but I have always made out in deals such as this.

If I had not just purchased a 360, this car would be attractive to me.

BTW, this is the 3rd or 4th time this car has been offered for sale. The last listing ended in a buyer not following through on the purchase.
